A Totally New Concept in Compact Fluorescents!
Since their appearance in the marketplace in the early 80's, compact
fluorescents have generally been regarded as one of the greatest achievements in
lighting since Edison's light bulb. With their longer life (usually 10,000
hours) and dramatic energy-savings over incandescent lamps (around 80%), compact
fluorescents offer users the opportunity to greatly reduce lighting energy and
maintenance costs while maintaining, or even increasing, light levels.
If there was any complaint about compact fluorescents, it was usually that,
because of a cumbersome adaptor/ballast, they simply would not fit in a large
number of applications.
Now Duro-Test presents Spiralux, a new compact fluorescent that features all the
energy and money saving benefits that people have come to expect from compact
fluorescent lights (CFLs). And that it fits where most other compact
fluorescents won't.
Spiralux employs a unique single-tube, coiled design that's only slightly larger
than an A-19, but smaller than an A-21. It's also shorter and less bulky than
other compact fluorescents. Spiralux delivers more light from a smaller package,
because more fluorescent tube is concentrated in a smaller space. And because
the contour of this fluorescent tube closely resembles the shape of an A-line
incandescent, light distribution comes closest to that of an incandescent bulb!
* Duro-Test's 10, 15, 20 and 23-watt Spiralux Compact Fluorescents will replace
standard 40, 60, 75 and 100 watt incandescents, saving 80% in lighting energy
costs while providing almost the same light levels!
* At 10c per kWh, one 15-watt Spiralux lamp costs only $15 to operate over its
10,000-hour life, compared to the $75 cost of burning a 75-watt incandescent for
the same period.
* Lasts 10,000 user hours...10-13 times the life of standard incandescent bulbs,
four times the life of most halogens. You'll buy far fewer bulbs in the long run
and replace them far less often, saving on maintenance and labor as well as on
energy!
* Spiralux's compact size allows its use in applications where other compact
fluorescents just won't fit.
* Spiralux's color temperature of 2700K and a color rendering index (CRI) of 85
provide incandescent warmth and pleasantness, with low-heat fluorescent
efficiency, plus a high degree of color rendition.
* Spiralux features Duro-Test's one-year Free-Replacement Warranty.
* Choice of colors and accessories make Spiralux ideal for a wide variety of
applications. Spiralux comes in Bug Light Yellow, Aurora V, Incandescent, Pink
and Vita-Lite. Vita-Lite only comes in a 20 watt bulb.
